From ice and fire to luxurious and rustic
We offer the full spectrum of authentic Icelandic lodgings from a lakeside country house to a guesthouse surrounded by bubbling hot springs to a luxury spa hotel in the city centre. But five-star views unite them all.
Upon arrival in Reykjavik you will be transferred to Hotel Kriunes, a lakeside country hotel near Lake Elliðavatn, where brown trout and arctic char live abundantly. In Hveragerði, the hot spring capital of the world, you will spent a night at the intimate Frost & Fire Guesthouse. With its breathtaking river and mountain views, it is one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets and the surrounding hot springs not only heat the buildings and amenities, but also provide for a good soak after a long day of biking. Iceland’s southernmost village, Vik, will be your next home. It’s beaches are counted amongst some of the most beautiful in the world. We’ll stay at the Hotel Edda, nestled under sandstone hills and surrounded by nature – the birdlife is particularly special. In Laki, Eldgjá and Fjallabak, you will spend five nights in mountain huts. Some are extremely basic with only cold water available, others are more comfortable with warm showers. But they are all extremely cosy, offering a unique experience smack-bang in the middle of some of Iceland’s best lava sculptures and mountains. We’ll end your trip in style with a night at the trendy CenterHotel Thingholt, a luxury spa hotel in the city centre where you can dine on award-winning Icelandic cuisine.
