utah

the bikers' mecca trail

INTRODUCTION

BikeRadar rated Utah amongst the top five moutainbike destinations worldwide.

There are five things that every biker simply must do in their lifetime: take a trip at night; take a trip through the snow; ride across a mountain range; sleep next to your bike; and most important of all, take a ride in the mountainbike mecca that is Utah. Beyond Biking has created a unique 4-in-1 itinerary, featuring the four most famous loops in the south-west: the Kokopelli Trail, the White Rim trail, Thunder Mountain Trail and the Hurricane Rim Loop. The tour ends with a night out in Las Vegas.

TRAIL DETAILS

TRAIL PART 1: Kokopelli Trail in Fruita (3 days)

The Kokopelli Trail is a classic bikepacking route connecting the two mountain biking nerve centers of Fruita and Moab. A tremendously satisfying and fun bikepack, from the beautiful singletrack out of Fruita, to soaring grinding climbs, red desert canyons, rugged sandstone ridges, to the mustnot-skip roaring bucking descent on Porcupine Rim down to Moab. This is the way to enter Moab!

TRAIL PART 2: White Rim Trail in Canyonlands, Moab (2 days)

Set in the heart of Utah’s Canyonlands National Park, the remote White Rim trail is Utah's ultimate multi-day party trail. This 4x4 trail clings to precipitous canyon walls, following the Green and Colorado rivers. Biking atop a massive 1500 foot mesa in this so-called Island in the Sky is awe-inspiring. Every overlook offers a different perspective on Canyonlands' spectacular landscape. There’s a complete sense of calm.

TRAIL PART 3: Thunder Mountain Trail near Bryce Canyon (1 day)

The Bryce Canyon area offers superb mountainbike trails. The upper section of the Thunder Moutain trail winds through a large ponderosa pine forest while the lower portion of the trail features spectacular red rock country. You'll enjoy the many swooping hills and valleys. Step back in time and follow the same trail as Butch Cassidy and his wild bunch.

TRAIL PART 4: Hurricane Rim Loop near Zion National Park (1 day)

Then there's the old classic Hurricane Rim Loop, a fantastic roller coaster ride on a mesa southwest of Zion National Park. Grand mesas, vertical rock formations, and deep canyons combine with extinct volcanoes and vast rolling arroyos, bringing together a taste of all that southwest Utah’s Color Country has to offer.

Expect out-of-this-world scenery combined with fantastic trails. Our accomodation offers a real Utah desert experience, from scenic campsites to luxury red rock lodges. You will enjoy unforgettable evenings of old-fashioned, outdoor fun, full of music and cowboy cookin’. You’ll be completely grilled, these folks sure know how to barbecue.
